I do not recall ever seeing this kit before!? What an interesting piece.
Great job on the build. I like all the details, the astronaut suspended in space, and the Earth so far below....

Thanks guys! In the 1950's, Willy Ley was a "space theorist", and he "imagineered" a whole series of space vehicles that Monogram latched onto and released as plastic kits. This particular one was originally released in 1959, and re-issued in both 1969 and 1996. It's probably the easiest Willy Ley kit to find, this is the '96 issue, with aftermarket decals.
