Just received my LAST Testors Lotus 38 and Lancer Gurney (Indy) Eagle off eBay today! Looking at what I must do and what my lifespan will allow me to do (I'm 69) , I have stopped acquiring any more projects! (Besides the two Chaparral 2Ds and 2E coming in next week). This is it! Now BUILD! So now my work will l be to assemble without a lot of extra detailing examples of the cars I Loved in my Life! I will do the less publicied versions with more obscure owners and drivers, I feel they need recognition too. So, look and advise. Thanx, John

I'm 74 and still at it. My concern is having 25 grandkids and none of them having the interest in continuing this hobby. I will build as long as I can see! I now spend more time with the business end but I do try to spend a couple of hours a day working on the cars.

I’m looking through my bifocals at the calendar that tells me I’m 76. (I’ve learned to always verify things I should remember)

I’m 33 but I still have to check the calendar to verify that. As you gentlemen no doubt know, becomes less important to keep track of how old you are the more of those years you accrue. 😂. I’m just happy I rediscovered my love of this hobby and found this great forum.

I feel all of your modeling and age issues guys. I am about to hit 75 and actually pretty content to be there. The alternative is not that great. I had a real awakening last month, not sure what I caught but I was down for 25 days. Could not get to a doctor, whithout calling 911 but I stayed aware of my condition and felt I could overcome. Having lots of water on hand and some 7up sure helped. I am almost back to mormal now, old and lazy. I have so many irons in the fire, I need to prioritize what needs to get done. that includes my modeling projects, which stalled 2 years ago. I keep looking for that spark what will reignite my passionS, a work in progress

It’s ok. I’ll be the young guy. I only wish I had been building models when i was 21 all the way through now. Lol. Started when I was around 8 and built 1 model per year for 4H to get my 10 year after I decided livestock wasn’t for me. Then, I stopped. Always missed it but didn’t do anything about it until I was about 30. Enjoying it more than ever now. The only problem is when I still occasionally build like that 12 year old kid. 😂😂

Ive seen many beginners grow up to be excellent builders.

No doubt about it. I need all the help I can get. Not every build I do is better than the previous one, but I typically learn something every build.

Nice to know I've grown older with some of you "elders"! At 74 my left hand knuckles lock up occasionally. I won't make seat belts any more; it's decals for them now (although I dislike them!). I'll continue building 'till I can't .

HAS ANYONE (on Our site) DONE A 1/24 FORMULA V?
As James Bond said "Never say Never, - Again!" I've just bid on an eBay lot of three slot car F-1 bodies I don't need just for one. I'd like to do a late '60s Formula V and have a nice 1/24 Revell Gypsy Dune Buggy with great VW and Corvair engines. One of my Honda 65 RA272 will supply the narrow Goodyear's. Have lots of historical paint schemes to try. I regretted selling my project box of '60's Ferraris, Loti, BRM's et al. Hated to see them go. Been acquiring lots of cosmetic replacements for my 38 ft boat sun faded Nylon, gelcoat and rubber exterior and interior. But that "Wicked, Ole eBay" keeps whispering in my ear! Hitting the Big 70 tomorrow, surgery Thursday. Moving boat Sunday. Thanx, for listening, John

Sorry to hijack the thread, but is there a vac-form copy of the Lotus 38 windscreens available in the secondary market for the IMC/Testors kits?
Any information would be most appreciated.
