This is a really nice kit and you did a great job in getting it together. Also, kudos on doing Ronnie Bucknum’s car, you don’t see many of those!

Guys. A little help here. First, you did a fine job on the little Honda. I also have Tamiya's kit in my stash and really hope to get to it soon. I too have been a Bucknam fan since I met him and Ritchie Ginther when I was living overseas in 1964-65. But my recollection of Ronnie Bucknam is that he was a very fast MGB E-Prod driver in SoCal in the early sixties. I have no recollection of his driving higher powered, higher speed cars before suddenly appearing on the Honda Grand Prix team in 1964. A quick look on the internet doesn't show his career before 1964. Did he really step from an SCCA MGB into a Grand Prix car? If so, it is an amazing transition. Perhaps someone out there can fill in some blanks I have missed.

Spyder, it’s a beautiful little kit, one of the ones that’s just a joy to put together. Probably my favorite I’ve built so far. On your other note, that’s exactly how I understood Bucknum’s career. Dominated the SCCA and then Honda, surprisingly I’d say, chose him to drive their first F1 car. I haven’t researched extensively but As far as I know he’d never even driven A single seater before he got the Honda drive. Pretty interesting career arc, going from SCCA straight to F1, to a road course ringer in Indy cars and snagging a win on an oval, along with some success at Le Mans sprinkled in. That strange career is one of the reasons I chose his decals over the winning Ginther decals.
