Do you think Testors Kiln Red would work?

Do you think Testors Kiln Red would work? Good question! ;D For some crazy reason, I think it is a metallic or pearl red. Just need more pictures to verify. Thanks! Mongo

Thanks, Shunter! I definitely believe the paint was a very fine metallic or a pearl. The shimmering of the paint in the light shows that. I don't know if they would have gone to the trouble of using a true candy paint.
It has been a LONG time since I used any of the Testors Kiln Red, so I cannot speak to it, sorry. I think I will use a Cherry Red Pearl from Duplicolor (the Import line of small cans), it comes out on a model about exactly like the color shown in the *blur*. ;D.

The red was definitely metallic, it was dark - more of a burgundy leaning slightly toward the orange hue of the spectrum, but not so orange that you wouldn't still call it red.

I agree 100% dark red/burgundy metallic is right.

Thanks, Jordan. I think I have the 2134 from MCW! If so, it is what they recommended for Mark Martin's Folgers T-Bird, also. ;D I'll check my stash.
