Have plans to do this car. What color would be correct for this build?

I think it was red, maroon and gold. Walt (Old Photos) can tell you for sure. If Indycals has decals for this, I bet they are spot on. Good luck. Jim

The car is red but not exactly sure what shade it is. Michael does have the decals. Thanks for your help. Be well.

When I built this kit BEFORE Tamiya spray paint I used Testors Guards Red just a little darker than a normal red. I did some research on this car as it was owned by Ed Walsh from St. Louis, who owned the 1950 Winning car and many car from the late 30's thru mid 50's. the Filter Queen car started as the #38 Bardhal Spl. in 1954 with Bill Holland as the driver, he was let go and Jim Rathman qual. the car for the Race. in 1955 it was the Walsh Spl. with Spider Web driving the car did not Qual. This is the car the model kit was modeled as the Monogram Spl.If you change on the car from Monogram to Walsh the model is correct. In 1956 we have the Filter Queen Spl. #19. Hope this helps
