Hi all, I scored a Union 1/25 Mecom Lola T-70 kit this week, and was hoping to build it as mark Donohue's Penske Sunoco car, since I've seen this car run a few times at the VIR. Anyone know if there were any aftermarket decals for this car? I've seen a couple of Fred Cady sheets for other teams on eBay. Did he ever do the Sunoco car? Those pinstripes look like they'd be a bear to paint! Thanks! Ben

Hi Ben,
The only Lola T-70 decals I have seen were from Fred. I don't have my old list at hand, so I am not sure if he did the Sunoco version, but I seem to remember it. I am doing the Surtees Championship winner.

Thanks, Mongo. I just found a 2006 list of his decals, but there was no Sunoco car. Bummer.
Cheers!

hey ben, don't give up just yet. from my writing to fred, i've found that he still has stock of some of the decals that he's produced but weren't listed in your catalog . i just received an order from him today telling me of 12 decals that he has in stock that i'd seen on past reference sheets but were no longer listed in that same catalog. so don't give up hope just yet. write to fred and maybe you'll be as lucky as i was. good luck, duane

There were several variations in the markings over time. There are no sheets for these cars. However, you can pretty much do a Sunoco T-70 by using the Fisher Lola T-70 GT and Sunoco McLaren M-6A sheets with the odd Cady Sunoco McLaren M-19 and Camaro decals thrown in.

Thanks! I had forgotten Fisher sold car kits before he started producing airplanes.

Paul is again producing racing car kits! If you love weird Ferraris then the 365 P2 White Elephant is for you! I have one on order and am anxiously waiting for it!

My wallet has been safe up until now, since I try to avoid building 1/32 jets (no room in the display case for the 2-seat F9F Cougar!). I was looking at the Chaparall 2F and McLaren M-6A and I think I heard my wallet start screaming. :-)

This a hack saw blend of an F-16 and a Tyrrell 020... I call it a Tyrrell XF16 RussD
