Just joined here, (& at Indy Car Modeling), as I've been expanding my model building into the Indy arena. I built the AMT Lotus 29 & MPC Rislone Eagle as a kid, & since the Buyer's Choice reissues of the Olsonite Eagle & STP Turbine in 96, I've slowly expanded my small collection of Indy cars, so I joined to learn & gain info & advice.
I just got the Indycals decals for the 74 Johnny Rutherford kit & a few months ago got the resin conversion kit for the Rislone Eagle along with the Indycal decals. Plus I've got a few more kits to build, So, expect quite a few questions as I dive into the pool!

Mark: Welcome aboard! The wide variety of builds, the level of talent, and the enjoyable friendships you will make are great reasons to join. I have found life long friends here, as well as interesting characters who all contribute to make this Board one of my favorite sites on the internet. Don’t be afraid to post your builds; this bunch loves WIP’s...we have talent here that ranges from “It looks OK from a foot away” (like mine!) to museum quality pieces that take your breath away... Hey Mark! Welcome aboard! Spend your money on modeling--no need to buy any reference books. If you have a question, someone here has an answer! And if you're bored, ask what color someones car was. Great to have you with us.

Sir. Welcome.
I am have not been on here all that long compared to many of the stalwarts, but I felt right at home soon after joining.
The chaps on here are brilliant in their help, advise and quality of work which has in turn helped me. No question is too daft, the replies being insightful, comprehensive and abundant.
I have my little circle of kit building mates but this forum has expanded my view on the hobby and the quality of resources I discovered here are top notch.
Look forward to seeing your work.
Dive on in.
