Just wondering what people use to clean their resin kits before priming and painting? I've heard several different ways to do it.

Many people use Westley's Bleche-White tire cleaner, or a dishwashing liquid with lemon, and some resins can even stand to be soaked briefly in lacquer thinner (test first, of course). I use dishwashing liquid, wash before I start clean-up, then I sand, grind, & remove flash, wash again, prime with automotive lacquer several coats, wet-sand and then wash again before paint. Has always worked well for me. HTH!

I soak in a household cleaner (I use a brand called "purple power"), scrub it off with a scotch pad and toothbrush under running water, same thing with dishwashing soap. then what Brian said, sand and grind. Everyone has their own favorite primer (I use Krylon). After I use the cleaner, I just pour it back into the bottle.
