Greetings;
I am starting to build the Tyrrell P34 1977 Monaco Grand Prix car and need some guidance on spark plug wires. Looking at the instruction sheet, it doesn't give (that I see) any guidance on the length of the plug lines. The line supplied is 16 inches long. With a 8 cylinder motor, I was going to start off cutting each line 2 inches, then after installation, cut to cylinder location length.
if anyone has thoughts, please share.
thanks,

If you are worried about using up your supplied spark plug lines material, my first thought would be to do a mock-up wiring, using a water-based glue and string or thread. Dismantle the mock-up with water, labeling the wires as you remove them, and using the labeled string (thread) as a guide to how long to cut each wire. This would allow you to use just what you need, and you might have enough left over if one wire gets screwed up.

Usually Tamiya has little rulers at the bottom of the instruction pages with the lengths to make the cuts at. They can be easy to overlook.

I looked at the instructions and didn't see the rulers you spoke of. I have some spare wire that is similar. I will try the mock up route.
thanks for you all thoughts. much appreciated.

FYI, you are going to want to cut that supplied wire into FOUR pieces, not 8. Tamiya's 1/20 Cosworth distributor cap doesn't have eight individual holes, it has two "slots", each piece of wire gets folded in half, one end going up thru each "slot". Not really prototypical, but effective and easy. HTH!
