Hi Everyone I've been looking at some past posts about the old AMT PC6 with the weak cowling seam. Well back in the days of the Dinosaurs we would take a new bottle of liquid plastic cement and pour off about 1/2 of the bottle , of course save what you pour out . I am not talking about the quick solvents we normally use on plastics although that may work as well. The one I have been using is the Testors in the gas can black bottle #3507. Cut a mess of very small pieces of sprue, any color will work but sprue from the model you're working on will not show as much.

I have heard this being done with MEK, I wonder if that is the solvent in the 3507 bottle!?

Jordan Yes it is Jordan...I have an old bottle of the Testors liquid glue and it says it right on the label. But....they took it off as it don't say it on the newer stuf. Still smells the same though. I've got a gallon of the MEK and keep filling my small testors bottle with it. I trimmed the brush that's attached to the lid as it was a little to thick.
