Just wondering what you use for a compressor? Right now I have an ancient house type that makes so much noise I have to leave my cellar while it fills up. Its way overkill for just an airbrush. I used to use an on mounted tire and fill it up with a bicycle pump, so almost anything would be better than that.

If there's a store in your area, you might look at Harbor Freight's compressor. I had one for several years and it woks well. Pretty good price as I recall. Good luck!

I don't use a compressor at all. I have a 30lb CO2 tank. It's cheap to fill every few years and is totally silent.

I used to use an old Perlick commercial refrigerator compressor. Very loud but it did have a tank. A friend found a silent compressor on Amazon that was being sold as a nail salon compressor. The amazing thing is that it was only $100 shipped. I checked his out and immediately ordered one. It came with a regulator, some compressor oil and little casters to roll it around. Super quiet and I flip the switch and have full airbrushing pressure in less than 20 seconds. The unfortunate thing is they are no longer for sale on Amazon. I'm pretty sure someone lost money on those. I also have a little Badger compressor that is very quiet. It is an Aspire TC-909. I bought it gently used for $40 and it's my portable compressor, also my backup. A bit less quiet than the nail salon compressor. It cycles when you are using the airbrush and cuts out when you're not. www.dickblick.com/products/badger-tc909-aspire-elite-compressor/

I've been looking at the Senco PC1010. Its light and has an aluminum 1 gallon tank. Its also fairly quiet and made in the US as well. I've seen a few modelers pipe in that it seems to work fairly well. The other one is the Hitachi EC28M which is also a 1 gallon and even quieter.
Its either that or fill up an air tank with my very noisy compressor I have now, but I'm not thrilled with the idea of running out of air in the middle of spraying something. That Senco is here:
