Hopefully will be retiring in a few years, always been a car buff and race fanatic. Used to build a lot of WW2 aircraft, but lately been more into cars. I'm fairly handy with tools, but lately the eyesight isn't what it used to be. Working in Quality Control for over 30 years has given me a keen eye for detail, and I'm also into Birding and Photography. I also collect Diecast cars, but can't always get the models I want, so why not build them.
I think what scares me the most about cars is that great shine and finish on the body. I remember doing an older prewar car that was white metal and had plastic parts as well. Finished it using lacquer paint(on the metal only, just melts plastic) and it was a pain trying to get the finish right. Right Now with the passing of Stirling Moss I'm hoping to do one of his cars, i was hoping for a model of the Lotus 18, but so far haven't seen any. Maybe you can help. So since racing requires a smooth hand, hence my handle, but my name is Bruce. Hope to enjoy talking to everyone at some point, some amazing builds I've seen here while looking around.

Glad to have you here, Bruce! I second what Jordan said about the folks here. It's a rare question someone can't help with. Expertise galore!
