For the last hundred years, I've said I was going to do a conversion kit for the Monogram Kurtis, long story short I have a great opportunity to get it done. But..... There are some things I need to get out of the way, first Does anyone have a Monogram Maserati 3500 GT? Because I need to "borrow" (copy) the engine. I just need to borrow the engine, I will pay for shipping cost and return it ASAP. The kits on eBay are WAY TO MUCH Also, I need to borrow the valve covers from the Fujimi 365Gts/4 Daytona..... Then 1 Weber 50 carburetor(?)

Excellent choice of a project Calvin. I just recently figured out a way to do the longer nose but I'll wait and see what you come up with. I wish I had the parts you need but someone here will.

Darylh, would you mind posting a "how-to" on the nose conversion? I've got the old MRRN drawings of the car and a picture of the tail showing crossed American and Italian flags to contribute.

The Ferrari Kurtis had a big development today thanks to Dan Parke! He was nice enough to not only send an engine for me to work off of but the WHOLE kit! Thank You, Dan! As for the Kurtis kit, I have the Ferrari nose started

Somewhere Enzo Ferrari is spinning in his grave that a Maserati will take the place of a REAL Ferrari Engine!

Somewhere Enzo Ferrari is spinning in his grave that a Maserati will take the place of a REAL Ferrari Engine! Lol š I didn't really think about it, but I'm kinda doing a twisted thing. From my little research this 6 cylinder was the best to start with. I'll be sure to put Ferrari covers on.

Ferrariās disdain for Maserati ran deep and it reminds me of a funny story.
To honor Enzo Ferrari, Italian President Alessandro Pertini visited the Ferrari factory. Ferrari was delighted to meet the President, but there was one catch. The limousine the President rode in was a Maserati! Ferrari, seeing a Maserati on the grounds of his factory hurt the old manās heart and it caused a horrifying breach in protocol by his unwillingness to walk up to the car.
Aside from that moment, the visit went well. But even a visit from the President of Italy could not for a moment shake Ferrariās antipathy to Maserati.

Man...I love the commitment to what you want to do in live. He might have been a little self centered but....he knew what he wanted to do......Untill 1966 le Mans...
