1988 S.T.P. Lola

Hi Guys

Does any one know what Red Vince Granatelli"s 1988 S.T.P. Lola was painted.Did he carry on with his brothers Day glow Red or go with Tomato Red or whatever.

I would like to know as I am going to build one of the old Monogram kits to try a new paint on. It's the Chroma Air Day Glow Red I was asking about on another thread.

It is a very bright Day Glow Red/Orange and I would rather try it on a lesser kit than one of Lances new Turbine up dates.

This will also let me try this new Acrylic-Urethane paint and see if it's worth buying any more.

Some of the broadcasts from back then talk about how lapped cars see Roberto's car in their mirrors and practically jump out of the way because it was so bright and easily identifiable.

Hi Guys

Thanks Jordan and Stevek51 for the color information. I tried a stick dip and this color is strong but it appears to be flat. I'll try to do a air brush test with a gloss over sprat later on . I'll let you know what it looks like. If I figure out how I may try and post some pictures.

Any new paint formula will generate these same questions. Will it dry gloss or flat, and if flat will the gloss coat dull it down. What are the best primers to put it on? I would guess white but would it work better over Tamiya's pink primer?
The paint seems promising so I'll be watching to see what answers you come up with.
