Yea, like TG was gonna "lower" himself to report to someone else... right.
Why on earth should it even matter what IMS wants as far as the IRL goes? The IRL should be a stand alone entity and not have to ask IMS if they can do something.
I'm not sure all this hoopla boads well for the IRL in the long run.

I think what it boiled down to, was that his sisters thought he was spending too much money on the IRL and the speedway. They think they can make more profit investing in other things.
Greed screws up most things.

That was the jist of the conversation I heard back in May. The sisters want to see what they can milk out of the place. Hopefully this doesn't play out, but never trust a bean counter. My nickels' worth........

There were also two rumors going around the garage area. One was that TG lost $200 million from the Madhoff Ponzi scheme and the other was that the sisters were victimized by him. I discount the former because of all the celebrities named in the media. TG would not have been spared. His sisters might have slipped through.

I really hope they sell the Speedway. Mari says there's no way that will happen, that the track is for her grandchildren... what a cluster%$&* THAT will be! - grandkids from 4 different sets of parents trying to run the speedway!  IMO the only way to save the speedway is to sell it to an individual who has the best interest of the track at heart. |

If Mr. Gates/Penske/etc would buy it, I would happily tend to their investment for them ;D And you guys would like me @ IMS!! I'd make the whole place as nice as the pagota.

I just had two this afternoon. They are quite tasty and very close (as far as I remember though it's been about a decade since I had the "real thing") to actual meat. GSorry, we kind of got off topic here.  |
