Man I love how you converted the Watson into the Ken Paul Special! That cockpit rebuild is awesome. Do tell, what did that entail? They both look great, but that Watson . . . wow

Those look fantastic! You did GREAT! I'm really happy to see the Watson kit worked out for you. And the "Arizona Cowboy's" car looks terrific!

These are great! Thanks for including what paint you used. It helps us colorblind modelers.

I like both of these. Good on you for using the AMT Watson kit. While it is not perfect, it provides a good starting point for doing many cars of this era. Good on Calvin and others for providing aftermarket parts to help us get it right. Jim

Both are really well done. They look great next to each other, too!
Love the blue on the Watson and it looks the part with the aftermarket pieces. The upgrade on the Epperly stacks are well done and give a nice touch on a great build.

Thanks for nice comments. For the Watson, the 64 AMT kit body work slightly flares up to the cockpit area, so I flattened that out with a file. Also cut down the right side of the cockpit to make the opening deeper. Took the kit’s wind screen, cut it down and re shaped to look like the flared body work surrounding front of cockpit. Filled with putty to give it a radiused look. Cut off the right-side head support of the kit seat and glued in. Then started filling with Milliput, Tamiya putty in the cockpit and for the padding on edges. Lots of carving, shaping and sanding. Cut a piece of corrugated craft paper and glued in to give it a seat cushion look. Masked and painted with Tamiya Mica and Dullcote. The seat is not very correct with the actual 60 winner but I’m somewhat satisfied with it.
