Very nice! The paint jobs are Fantastic, and the added details really make these look great.

Get those babies some sunlight so they can really pop!! ;D
Just an exceptional job considering you put a engine in this curbside kit!

Can we get a close up picture of that. I would like to hear how/what you used to make the engine and drive train. I was hoping that some day, someone would come up with a decent cast resin engine block that you could add to these kits. RussD RussD

Russ and Jordan, thanks for the comments. There is an earlier post of the Lazier car with a pretty good picture of the engine from last fall(Aug 2008) I used a Cosworth engine from the old AMT kits. I shaved the heads and the bottom deck of the engine down untill they fit. them did the headers to fit. Used the Revell kit gearbox. I biult this car actually 9 years ago when I was just getting back into the hobby. It actually won the SAE Magizine regional contest in Chicago in 2000,but they never published photo's from that contest. It then placed 3rd at a contest in Indy. First and Second place went to Clay Kemp who now writes for SAE so I was real happy with the way it came out. And at that time no one had ever tried to put an engine in one of these kits. I am currently working on a new one(as a new fried has talked me out of this one.) The new one is going to be alot more detaied than this one as my skills have increase alot over the last 9 years.
The engime will be alot more realistis because I built this one from what I thought it would look like with no photo help. I now have very good photos to go from. If there is enough intrest I will cast the engine and other piece to do a conversion. I am working on the engine right now so this would be a great time to do it.
