I model all genres, but racing cars, especially open wheel is one of my favorites. I was a member of the Yahoo Open Wheel Modeling forum before it kind of collapsed several years ago. Participate in the Fine Scale Modeler forum, but few messages about racing cars then. I do Indy cars, midgets, sprints, supermods, whatever. Owned and campaigned a 1:1 scale 3/4 (TQ) vintage racer, but sold it a couple of years ago- getting too old to turn wrenches in confined spaces :-(
Belong to RPM (racing plastic models) club. Wrote a few articles for Scale Auto Enthusiast way back. Celebrated my 79th birthday last month. Glad to see Chris Etzel models now being offered again.

Finally got some pictures of some of my OW models. Today I'll post a few of my scratch projects. First two are of a 1:8 sprint car. This is a Bob Traxzel built Sprint Car most recently campaigned in Old Timer events in Iowa.  Hmm. Seem to have trouble posting photos. I'm new to this forum, and have never tried to post photos here before. Also new to Google Photos. I got fed up with Photobucket, so thought I'd try someplace else. When I get it figured out, I'll post the photos :-(  |
