I recently acquired this kit and it was recommended that I use Herb Deeks wire wheels, but it seems like they are no longer produced? Does anybody have a set, or other wire wheels (or wheels and tires) that will work with this kit? BTW, for those of you that have this kit, I'll be doing some 'updates' for it. It's a decent kit for the price, but the engine and cockpit could use some help

Michael, You can still get those from Herb through his Ebay store: stores.ebay.com/Herb-Deeks-Retro?_rdc=1He currently has an auction for the Borrani type wheels. Not sure what the 158 used. (He also has an auction running that Patrick might be interested in )

Herb shows up at San Diego swap meets at Gillespie Field every year so he's still in business, don't know where his residence is though. John

Sorry, Michael, I should have given you his e-Bay ID: deeks2
Glad you like the kit, update parts would be great!

Michael, I've got a very old snail mail address for him in California, but first I would try to contact him via a question on EBay. If you're going to do update parts for that model I would think that there would be a increased market for Herb's wire wheels.

No plans to do the Talbot as I don't have that kit, but if I get it and if there is sufficient reference material I would definitely be open to doing something with it.

Are you talking about the Heller Talbot Lago 4.5? Did one of these ever run at Indy? At any rate, I have this kit that I bought in France years ago and have never built. I have opened the box but never opened the sealed plastic around the parts. Is anyone interested? Thanks, Jim

Got the Herb Deeks wheels - look like a nice, much needed addition to the Merit kit!

I picked up the double kit of the Alfa Romeo and Talbot-Lago last weekend in Seattle. You can count me in for anything you create for either kit. Will there be decals for the Alfa too?

The Heller kit is above and beyond the old Merit Lago!I did a Merit one a long time ago. I'd like to do Johnny Claes' yellow Lago from a Heller kit...someday.

I have heard that the Heller kit is much better and that it will be rereleased sometime this year. I've seen a couple of photos of the yellow car but haven't studied the history of it yet.
