After my storied racing career ended, I was the SCCA Central Florida Race Board Chairman. I was checking on some paper work in Registration during the National race at Sebring when the Registrar told me "Mario Andretti want's to talk to you." "Looking for some tips on driving" I responded, only to see Mario Andretti standing there! He was looking for a place he could put Michael's transporter (a large "Star Brite" Semi, with spare tires, rains, parts and a spare car) where they could be left alone to race! We put them at the end of the paddock, near turn one, between the double fencing. It occurred to me that with all the equipment, skills, and fame he had, he only wanted to be left alone! Happy 75th birthday Mario! I'm glad I could be of some help... --Frank

My father drove the Lee Chapman Racing transporter to Sebring. Apparently he was hanging out with Brian Johnson from AC/DC.
