Just wondering if anyone has a good pic of the stars that topped the sidepods The stars are somewhat skewed but it appears to be very random so references are needed. So, I'm looking for something pretty much right above the car looking down or a good angle of the sidepods off in the pits, etc. I have had the sheet artwork 90-95% done but so far have left the stars perfectly symmetrical. Figured unless I can find an accurate reference then why bother distorting the stars in a random fashion!? All I have found online that would work is a photo on LAT or somewhere that wants to charge you a fortune to get a large size print. Can't tell enough from the thumbnail and small detail isn't worth buying a $90 poster (or something around there). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jordan

Exactly the kind of stuff that I am looking for and the higher the resolution the better.

Not doing anything with plastic yet on this one. An accurate '03 Reynard cannot come straight OOB from the '98 or '99 body kits. I would say you could use most parts from a '99 body kit so that's probably a better starting point due to the more complex front wing. However, the '99 front wing would still need to be modified. The endplates are taller and have more winglets on it by this point. The biggest transformation would be that the sidepods would have to be almost totally redone. In the above pic you can see how the leading edge of the sidepods extends to cover the back mounts of the front suspension. Plus, those exhaust ramps at the back are 100% different from the ones back when the kit was made. The bottom back of the sidepods is drastically different, too. In the kit years, the parts cover most of the under tray almost all way up to the rear tires but by 2003 they are totally reconfigured. Look at all the daylight you can see here just below and to the right of where is says "Jimmy": So, no, this one is not on the bench yet. When they do hit the bench, I would like to do RHR's Surfer's Paradise winner (in wet configuration) and JV's Cleveland car (which led the race and had a few cool features on it, too). The decal artwork is pretty much done - need to finish up the nose number shield, the stripe decals for the center red part, and I would like to add a few goodies but if they never get done, no big loss. On the bench right now, I am working on a '98 with kit decals and a '99 with aftermarket decals. Since I have a mental issue that seems to prohibit me from building these kits straight OOB the '98 is getting modified wing angles and the '99 is getting opened up exhaust exits. Since I have enough trouble finishing projects, I need to get those worked up first! Jordan

Customizing these kits is something I get really excited about the possibilities to make them different. Lots of ways to differentiate builds OOB but then with research you can find little differences to make each build up unique with some scratchbuilding. Tons of variations in do-dads here, there, and everywhere popped up as teams looked for any advantage. I always wanted to write up 101 ways to customize a Revell Reynard Pretty sure I could find at least that many. Jordan
