Fortunately the only significant blue on the decals will be the #66 (sorry folks - you're going to have to paint the triangles - but I'll provide a masking template).

Anyone else notice the variations in orange on the body at the TMS test? Look at the engine cover versus the roll hoop at 2:03 in this video. Body appears to be a slightly different shade from the sidepods and engine cover.

Beautiful! After the '65 Indy 500, my next professional race was the 1967 Road America Can-Am. Back then there was no instant availability of racing (or any other) news, so I was Absolutely Floored by the McLaren M6's on the front row. The cars were so clean, the green lettering so cool (changed to blue in future seasons), but mostly that color! I fell in love and still think all McLarens should be papaya or whatever it's called. I was racing 1/32 slot cars at the time. Once the McLaren bodies came out, the discussion was all about matching that color. And until Tamiya came up with the Brilliant Orange, the debate continued. I'll be rooting for Fred, mostly because it's McLaren. I'd root for them if the driver was Stofel Van Doorn (sic?). MJ

also, I didn't realize Vuse was an E-cig - this kinda feels a little somewhat nostalgic getting a "naughty sponsor" again...we use to have so many beautiful cigarette sponsor schemes 20 years ago

Rolling papers and porn. Nothing says racing quite like that. If you think the LBGP is filled with eye candy now, you should have seen the Penthouse booth. Ah, the good ol' days. Doobies and Dolls. Fwiw, i checked Toronto motorsports site and a 1/64 and a 1/18 2019 Fernando car is on the docket. No word of a figurine car this time. Also one last run of Whickens cars are to be done. Both 1/18 & 1/64th.

Talked to the IMS gift shop. I am friend's with the manager for on line sales. ( the one across from the track in the strip mall). Helio is due next week and Alonso is supposed to be delivered in May. No date was known. I asked if they were getting the Replicarz '89 Fittipaldi. No P.O has been seen so not likely. Same with the Rahal '86 winner.According to the Replicarz site, the ( unmentionable tobacco sponsor) stickers will be provided with the '89 car. Ofcourse they will be in the bottom of the box. Did confirm getting the Whickens cars.

If Greenlight got them to IMS by grand prix weekend they likely would have sold out. Now they probably have a huge supply on hand that will go on sale this week with few takers. Yet Greenlight made sure dealers in Spain had it!

What a sad deal!
I actually made more 2019 kits in anticipation of the Alonso enthusiasm.... I was really looking forward to McLaren/Alonso excitement

What a sad deal! I actually made more 2019 kits in anticipation of the Alonso enthusiasm.... I was really looking forward to McLaren/Alonso excitement Sometimes a window closes and another opens. I understand the Daly USAF livery is hot. IMS has sold out of the 1/18 car and apparently so has Speedgear as its not listed by them any longer. Currently one is on ebay ( signed) for 140. That makes Ebay- Torontomotorsports or Relicarz the only other known vendors with listings to the car. Demand may go up for Daly. So you may not be sitting so bad.
