Hi, Thanks for kind comments! A last sanding session on the metal body, then: - Primer, - Giallo Modena, - Rosso Corsa. Also started to spray primer on the first 200 metal rivets. 400 left to do... before GM&RC. Few of them will be White. Voilà. La suite bientôt! Pascal

Hi, Thank you Duane! Yep! A lot of rivets... Decals session Once dry they are cleaned as well as the surrounding area. Then holes are done in the decals. More soon. Pascal

It looks great Pascal. So since the decal goes on first, do you paint the rivets over the numbers white?
About a month ago I found a video on YouTube that finally explained to me the crazy numbering system of early F1. One thing I prefer about today is the consistent numbering LOL

Hi, Thanks Jordan! The painted/clear coated metal rivets will be installed on the body once the 2K finish coat done. May you please show me the link of the video? ...And, just for fun: DFV Cosworth piston and rod. Voilà. Pascal

Wow! Stunning build. Each new progress post continues to amaze me. Wickedly lmpressive stuff.
Many thanks for documenting the build in detail. I’ve learned a few things. I’m curious about the chemical burnishing of brass you mentioned earlier. I assume the purpose is to darken the appearance of the brass. I’d be interested in learning a little about it, roughly how it’s done, chemicals used, etc. Cheers.

They always seem to run best just before they "put a leg out of bed"/"ventilate the block" etc.. spyder

They always seem to run best just before they "put a leg out of bed"/"ventilate the block" etc.. spyder Reminds me of a quote from Dick Brooks many years ago. He was asked "what put you out?". He said "an oil leak, when the rod went thru the side of the block, all the oil leaked out".

Beautiful build. One of my favorite 1967 cars. The detail work is phenomenal and love the look of their white exhaust.

Hi, Thanks a lot for all the kind comments. Small progress ... Preparation and installation of the hose and the serflexes on the pipes of the cooling system. The tightening of the collar is simulated using aluminum foil and a piece of welding wire. Same preparation for the 2 cooling scoops. Test and alignment of the 1/2 rear axles and rods of the anti-roll bar. Pascal

Pascal, how many parts are you scratch building? Hard to tell what is still a MFH piece.
The detail you are adding is stunning and I look forward to each update. Very enjoyable watching one of my favorite all-time F1 cars come together so masterfully.

Hi, Thank you very much for following, enjoying and commenting the WIP Mates!! I’m not adding/scratching that much parts.... Or maybe I love doing it and don’t really realize the job done or still TBD... The base kit is really great and just needs a bit of work. Few progress and improvements. I wanted to rebuild the anti roll bar with brass, but the original is good and almost hidden behind the tank... The grills are installed on the radiator and the simulated inside tubing is still visible. A new Sandow will replace the white metal part. Pascal

Hi, Thank you! Still progression both on the rear and front. Difference between before and after work on white metal parts. The small bucket doesn’t belong to the 312F1...but to a Tipo 500. I wanted to install thin aluminum sheet on the structure. Pascal
