I fly in late Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday I have half a day of meetings. I am hoping to get free to visit some racing destinations but realistically the chances are slim. Thursday through Sunday I should be at the track. Museum on Thursday, watching track action Fri-Sun, checking on the vintage cars pretty much everyday, and of course the Saturday memorabilia show. Any good recommendations for seeing old IndyCars at other places around Indy!? Especially old Penske/Mears cars or ChampCars like Reynards, Lola, Swifts, Eagles, and Penskes.... Jordan

I'll be home for my 37th from the 23rd to the 30th. I hesitate to add my cell # in a post. I did look at my profile and couldn't decide where i could leave a # that ONLY members could see. I will be attending the show on sat and look forward to meeting any and all board members. I will be the guy at the show trying to sell or trade some cars to vendors, as i need to get rid off some cars from my passed uncles collection. Proceeds will go to Indianapolis Luekemia society as this was his wishes. I wont try to peddle off too many as i do not have a table. I stated in a previous post that i would GLADLY help any forum member, as i know the car would get a good home and i could REALLY use help in selling some cars and giving back to this board. I have learned here. I have no issue with helping back. I have Indy cars. Dirt cars. Champ cars. Mostly 1/18 but i do have some customs. And a few other sizes. Looking forward to the race and just enjoying being home in May.

Jordan Ofcourse the museum of what ever might be on display, the only other place of volume might be Penske's own museum in Arizona. Atleast for Rick Mears cars. I see Rutberford's Gatorade Mclaren will be on display. ( btw- any member need a C1 Gatorade Mclaren? I got one) Perhaps i can catch it that day before it goes away.

I'll be in Indianapolis from Thursday to Monday. Planning on visiting the museum, the photo shop and of course the memorabilia show. Like Jordan I'm very interested in knowing of any other interesting things to do or see, particularly places that have cars of the 80's or 90's on show. Hope to meet many of the board members while I am in Indianapolis, perhaps at the memorabilia show.

Bo & Jordan. If you can go the Dallara shop or even Sarah Fishers and ride some go carts. I have also been to the Indycar restoration shop down the street from the track. I haven't been there is years and the name escapes me. It is housed in the old Vels Parnelli race shop. Maybe someone else can help me remember the name?

If you can catch the Dallara tour, jmho, it is worth your time. When i went thru, they showed pretty much everything but the simulator. The carbon fibre room, the autoclave, assembly area and a film to end. The restaurant is also good. I recomend the Americana. Heard the pizza is good, but i havent tried it.

Might have just run across Willy T checking into his hotel and have what looks to be a ‘95 Lola in the lobby of my hotel. Found a '97(?) G-Force and 02 Lola, too!

One reason Willy T is in town is to be part of a Q & A session after the screening of a new Adam Carolla documentary called "Uppity: The Willy T Ribbs Story". This is the first public showing of the movie of Ribbs' life and career. It will be at the Indianapolis Museum of Art in the Tobias Theater Saturday at 7pm and is free and open to the public. The theater has 500 seats and admission is first come, first served. See the IMDb website for more information on the movie.
PS Carolla has produced several excellent racing documentaries including one of Paul Newman's racing career and another called "The 24 Hour War, Ford vs Ferrari".
