Well folks...Slim Louis inspired me to get to some of the road course cars that I've had on the back burner for a few yrs. I decided to build the Jagermeister Zakspeed Ford Capri using the Tamiya Mampe Capri for the build. It is fairly simple as far as parts count goes but...well engineered and up to the Tamiya molding standards. The kit roll cage is only half there. Soo..I want to put as much bar work in the green house as possible. Finding interior Pictures of the cage area was a pretty good challenge. I finally found some on line a few days ago. I had already started building the front part of the missing cage when I discoverd the rest of the story. Now...I'm going to add the Door bars along with another support bar from the right front upright to the bar just under the dash. Here are a few pics of the work I've got done to this point.

Uh oh Michael resurrects the Revell kit and now i'm wondering about kitbashing with the Tamiya kit. There may be something there.

Thanks for stopping in and commenting Harvey and Drums..... Here is an update on the Dash. It's in Mock-up and will be installed real soon. Have to build the racing harness and then the whole interior will be finished..

Thanks 61 Redlegs...I've got the body rubbed out and of course...had to do a little touchup on a few spots. I wanted to get to the decals today but...it has to dry over night and maybe I can get to it Monday. The 500 and 600 are tomorrow. Won't get anything done in the shop...that's for sure...

Gary, What an impressive build. I've been into sport car road racing since I turned 13 ( feels like a million years ago). Just a tremendous job with the detailing. The roll cage really kicks up your build quite a few notches, as does all the detail painting you've done. Just a tremendous build.

Hey Joel...Thank you for the GREAT compliment. In the past 10 or so yrs the road course cars have been peeking my interest. I've been a circle track guy my whole life but after seeing some Videos (especially of the Zakspeed Capri's) and how fast and very quick they were...really got my juices going. I've got quite a few more builds that I want to do in the near future.

I hear you on that Joel. Right now...I'm in the middle of building Tim Richmonds PC7 Indycar. I will post finished pics as the PC7 has been built by a few folks on this board already. I don't want to beat a GOOD HORSE to death. But...this (hopefully) will be finished within the next month and I want to build another Capri. This one will be a full detail build...
