Very nice! How long did it take to apply all of those decals and are they the kit decals?

Looks great. Tough kit to build nicely and you did an awesome job.

Wow, what an entrance! That's a nice looking Eagle. Any details on the build? Box stock or did you use some aftermarket pieces?

Weslake Research and Development was founded by Harry Weslake, with premises in Rye, East Sussex, England It's not Westlake Ford that's a car dealer in Ohio.

I have an Eagle Weslake on the building board too, this will be Dan's 1967 Riverside winner. But is just a slot car in 1/32nd scale.

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments. Since I built that kit a few years back I am going to recollect best as possible. 1. The decals took a few days or "evenings" as is normal for me, as I can't seem to do a full decal application in one sitting. Usually to see how they react to the body and setting solutions - and stick and stay in place while I apply another adjoining decal tomorrow....and I believe those are Indycals...
2.I went on memory again, and thought the Weslake portion on this engine were heads on a Ford block. I don't mind being wrong, as I learn every time I am wrong, except when my wife says I am wrong, it seems not to work too well... I will do a little research on this. I didn't like the look of this engine in this car and preferred the bundle of snakes Ford, but wanted to build Dan's car.
3. Maybe some build tidbits were having patience and desire to build a 1970's molded Indy car kit. So it is box stock except for the decal kit, and a little tlc. The inner nose of course is painted, hopefully it is blended pretty well to not even notice it. It really looks nice in person, proportions appear pretty accurate, and if not, the perception is it looks "right".
Again, thanks guys, I need to spend some time on the forum. I am going through some really old builds now, polishing them and placing in my display case, while finishing models that I started years and even decades ago. The next open wheeler is the Tamiya Williams FW13B in 1/12 scale...started that one a decade ago as well....

Looks good, and you are correct about the engine. The heads were Westlake, and the block was from Ford.
