Hi Guys,
I would like to know what Primer I should use with Tamiya Spray Paints ?
IO never used them before so that is why I;m asking.
I use to sell Tamiya Paints at the Hobby Sop I use to work at but I can't remember if
there was Spray Primer in the Paint Rack.
Hope to Hear from you Soon !
Thank you,
-Robby

Hi Robby, I used Tamiya (white) primer on the last project I did and was more than pleased with the results. I believe they also have a gray primer. Rex

Youu need to use a lacquer primer under the Tamiya spray paints. Automotive primer is OK but Tamiya's own is the best. It goes on in thinner coats than than the auto primers I've used.

Most of us have learned, over time, what works best for us. In your case, I would stick with the Tamiya primer. Using the same brand for primer, paint, and clearcoat is the safe system in most cases.
