I went to 20+ CART races there back in the day. I live close enough that I can ride my bike there. It's not too far for Calvin, hopefully he can make it to the race. This is HUGE for me and my lot.

Great news. Always liked Portland. CART had some good races there back in the day.

I've been to a few CART races there and also raced my kart at the IKF Nationals there in '86. I really like the place, and am glad to see them back there.

Been there myself and had a great time. I do hope they get rid of the chicane at the end of the main straight though.

I'm glad to see it back, the series needs to be out in that part of the country.

We're only 500 miles away in Missoula. Planning on going and bringing grandkids, who have never been to a race.

Whenever I think of Portland, I recall the 1987(?) where Michael dominated, then ran out of fuel on the last corner. Mario goosed it and just caught Michael at the line. It was father's day and a very dejected Michael wished Mario a happy one. I don't think he meant it.
Also, I was in Portland for a conference, must have been 2006ish and the Rose Parade went right by my hotel. Champ Car had a couple of floats with cars and drivers. I think it was Hunter-Reay and Doornbos. Actually pretty cool.
It's a bit of a drive from the Bay Area, but I'm considering it...
