Big Rahal fan but up until this past weekend his luck had not been the greatest. I was away on vacation with some friends and was very please to see that he dominated the first race and won. Yesterday I got to watch race two and again Rahal had the dominate car. I wish the different winner streak would have kept going but was happy to see Graham be the first two time winner this year. I could not believe the gap he pulled overtaking Sato in the pits. What a perfect strategy.

My first silly thought was that Rahul had been on his push to pass the entire out lap to get that kind of gap!

Just wondering if anyone has ever gone to this race. Interested to know about accommodations, how to get to the track, etc. Looking for some 'insider' info.

Got to watch them both and Rahal was obviously really, really good. It was good to see the Rahal team and driver have success. Both races had really great drives through the pack. I mean, Hinch spinning on between turns 1 and 2 on lap 1 but still making the podium. It was nice to have two races where the fastest guys were able to fight for the win and not yellow mixing it up too much. Major props to Dixie for gutsy drives.
I did alright in the fantasy game, I did better the more Hondas I picked lol

I went to this race about four years ago. I live in Toledo an hour away so I did not stay overnight but hotels are abundant in Detroit. We parked in Detroit and walked across the bridge to the island. One thing that is totally amazing is the access to the drivers. Definitely a must to get a garage pass but they ride all over the place in scooters. Scott Dixon went whizzing by me a few times. It's best to sit IMO in the bleachers across from the pits. The drivers come screaming down pass the start/finish line there.
