My first full build in 25 years. I purchased this new back in the day. Note the date.
I had the pleasure to see this car many times at Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI.
Always a favorite with his Loooooog Smokey Burn Outs, and of course Jungle Pam
I did a fair amount of modifications to get a more 1:1 feel
Out of the box stance.....
Modified Stance..... Much better!
A couple shots of Mock Up
Thanks for looking!

Better late than never. You really made a nice change too make it look correct. I don't think it could look better without Jungle Pam guiding it into staging Jordan

RASS,
I'm really looking forward to watching this come together, especially when you get to the paint!

I built dang near all of these when they were released. The "Jungle Jim" machine I built more than once! Even the 1/16 scale as a contract build for a co-worker.
I was never happy with the paint. IMO the metal flake out of the can is too large. My friend liked it and has it displayed in his home, but in my heart of hearts I was never happy with the color.
Does anyone repo the decals? I want to build the Tony Nancy "The Loner" front engine digger. I like the bodywork!

There are some 1/16 Tony Nancy FE Loners out there they run anywhere from $60-$90 I don't know of anyone who make decals for the loner, I looked into it awhile back and I couldn't find any in 1/25 or 1/16 with Indycals new decal service perhaps they could be made. If someone with the kit would scan them and provide a file they could easily be reproduced in any scale.
The reason why your paint on JJ didn't turn out is you were using the wrong paint. I personally know the man who did the lettering on the car back in the day, he signs his work Mr J his real name is Julian Braet and owns a supply co XCaliber that caters to custom painters, I am one of his customers.... great guy! Mr J and Glenn Wiesburger were the brain trust of the art department of the whole Revell Revolution at Bob Gerdes Circus Paint.
When I started the JJ build I talked to "J" about the paint and the color is Kandy Cobalt blue over a Silver base with gold Murano pearl in the clear.
On any of those Revell cars I have the inside skinny of what was applied back in the day..... of what "J" can remember. Pretty much all of those cars were painted in a heavy smoke filled room.... and it wasn't cigarette smoke!!! Hey it was the 70s

Sorry about the chassis issues, hope there is a good prognosis for this build still.
