Just as impressive as the machine turning is the tool you built to do it! I also like the idea of using aluminum--realism right down to the material! --Frank Thanks Frank, I am very skilled with Alcad and other paints that simulate metal but I have always agreed that nothing looks as much like real metal as real metal. This project is mostly 7075 aircraft aluminum with some nickel silver thrown in. I chose 7075 over the usual 6061 series aluminum because it is harder and machines much better. Far less galling to the tools as I machine it. It also polishes up much better. Darned stuff costs about three times as much as 6061 and is harder to come by, but it is not like I am using a hundred feet of the stuff so the cost is really not that critical. Thanks for looking in.

Ok, after a lot of filing to shape and length, this is a test fit to make sure I drilled the mounting holes correctly in the valve covers. I am pleased with the look.
