Looks like, once again, Fox will screw those of us who either can't get, or won't pay a lot extra, for FS2 won't get to watch most of the race. Guess most folks would rather watch people beating each other up. Sad commentary on our country IMO.

Don't feel so bad Craig, we have got the same situation here in the metro Pittsburgh Area. It takes me back to the early 1980's when my area was one of the only ones not to receive ESPN. I had to make a trip to a friends house 30 miles from home to watch the CART Indy Car races. I never though I would be reliving those days with cable bills approaching 200.00 is seems really sad. I tried to watch it, but found it rather boring with all the stock looking cars with wings bolted onto the back. I guess the Cadillac's are leading but I watched for about an hour and never saw one. Saw some generic looking Ferrari's and Ford GT's with wings bolted onto the deck lids and some wanker announcers going "whoa" and "my God" while dudes drove cars down straightaways
then I called my dentist to see if he could drill my teeth for fun

Well, to each his own, Hubie. I thought the last hour was pretty damn good.

I agree about the Ford and the last hour. I do not have Fox sport 2. But for Christmas got an Amazon Fire stick and was able to watch all 24 hours on Fox sport go app on the tv. Didn't know if I would like it but think it was a great gift now.

That sounds like an incredible way to view the race, I may have to look into it!
Thank you for the heads-up.

I watched an online stream here and there. But after getting home late last night, I made sure to watch that last hour. I know they were bunched up under caution a few times but they had a hard time getting away from each other which made for some tight battles for position.

I had the great good fortune to attend the Rolex 24 this year. My first time at a real international endurance race. As everyone noted, the last hour was terrific. But that race in three of the four classes went on for the entire 24 hours. And even in the rain, those guys were racing. There were 55 cars and over 200 drivers assigned to them and I thought that despite really cold weather (for Florida) and lots of rain during the night hours, the quality of driving was very good. There were very few bone headed incidents and in the new Prototype, the Cadillac Class, if you will, GT LeMans, and GT Daytona, the drivers were always in close proximity and except for the Caddy Collision at the very end, these guys were unbelievably respectful of each other. Left the track on Saturday at 10:00 PM and the top six GTLM cars were within 6 secs. of each other. Got back at 9:00 AM and the same six were within 4 secs. of each other. And none of them had any major dents or dings. This despite running like it was a One Hour sprint race.
The lights on the cars at night are something you have to see in real time . And like all races on TV, you really have to be there to see the real speed, the real color, and hear the real sounds. I really want to do this again next year. spyder

Was a spotter for the Paul Miller Racing Lamborghini for the 3rd straight year. Dropped to 24th early and fought back for a 7th place class finish. First year I wasn't exhausted at the end and I did the most hours I had done, about 13. I'm signed up for next year. Want to win this one once.

Trevor, The racing in GTD was just as good as GTLM. A nail biter until the end. Will you be with the Pabst F-2000 team again next year? If so, please give a nod to Burke Harrison for me and keep an eye on Dakota Dickerson over at Newman-Wachs this coming year. spyder.

With F2000 not racing at LOR this year I'm not sure. I'll be working for Coyne at Iowa (all races actually). I have spotted for feeder series while working IndyCar on the same weekend but it's never a given. LOR works because it doesn't conflict with my IndyCar stuff.
