That would work. It would probably take maybe 2 weeks to do another body. I'm slow.

You're not slow, you're deliberate, and we admire and appreciate that.

I should be able to post an update by the weekend. I had to take two steps back with the paint and decaling. I started out thinking I would paint the orange--that did not go so well. Removed the paint and repainted the white pearl. Instead I made templates and used a Microscale orange (TF 10) decal sheet, cutting the shapes with the templates. That was not a bad idea. The bad idea was the Microscale decals. Extremely thin and very easy to tear. Also, for thin decals they would not snuggle down over curves and detail. Who knew?
Spent the last three weeks decaling. Don't know how many times I did some of the shapes--lots. I went through three sheets. I finally coated a sheet with decal sealer and used a hair dryer to settle the decals (the hair dryer melted part of the frame and that had to be replaced). That worked better. I have about a hour of gold pin striping to do and it needs clear coated. Then I will post some photos.
During some down time while the paint was drying I started a Foyt 4 cam dirt car.

All those disasters, and you're still pressing on with the build! Sort of makes you the A.J. Foyt of model-building! Wait a minute: wouldn't A.J. have gotten frustrated and thrown it like a lap top computer? Maybe you're the Sir Edmund Hillary of model-builders. --Frank

Those bars look great, Kip. Would you share some tips on soldering, such as equipment, types of solder, material. and how to methods?

Thanks for the compliments.
I don't do anything special and pretty much do it old school. I use an old fashion plug-in soldering iron. It has two unmarked settings for temperature--I use the hottest setting (at least I think its the hottest--its number II). I use Oatey #95 lead free tinning flux and resin core silver bearing solder (.022 diameter). I like working with brass better than copper. As far as method, I just clean the brass/copper with steel wool. (For the push bar I drilled holes in the push bar to seat the support bars.) I put a dab of flux on the joint and touch the solder coil with the iron to get a drop of solder on the iron tip. Then touch the iron tip to the joint until it flows into the joint. I usually end up using files, sandpaper, and steel wool to clean up the joint. I try to keep the iron tip clean--usually wiping it before each joint. I recently bought a cordless soldering iron from Micro Mark and tried it out. It gets good and hot but I did not get good results. I think it probably would be fine if I got used to it. I also got a hypodermic that has the solder & flux mixed inside (from Micro Mark). You are supposed to squirt a bit into the joint and touch it with the iron. Again, I think it may be fine if I gave it some time but I prefer my old method.
Mostly my poor burnt fingers. I have used some springy pliers but they often get in the way. My fingers (usually in cloth gloves) don't get in the way. They just get red.

Decals are on. Roll cage is on. Interior is mostly done. Decals are mostly from GWS. The orange panels are Microscale. See earlier post for the sad tale of the red/orange decals. Lots to do yet. Suspension, exhaust, windscreen, engine starter tube, side “bumpers”. Six white stripes on Foyt's car. Gary's had eight and some dodads in the middle. kip
