Hey, thanks for sticking with this thread. Looks really cool and no doubt the only one in the world!
oh, and don't worry about the thin strips holding on the wheels, AJ Watson did the same thing!

Did some more work today, had to re-position the side radiator to the correct angle. A close up, maybe a bit too close, I can see a couple of areas I'll have to touch up. The roll bar and brace are in the correct position and though you can't really see it, the steering wheel is on. Another angle. Aside from a few touch-ups and the decals, all that's left are the rear shocks, a couple a radiators (that thing must have run hot as heck), a bit of bodywork, and the rear wing, which I've been dreading for a while. Just about there! You have to be really happy with how this has turned out. I enjoy scratch-building but it is really time consuming. You have figured out some interesting ways to create this special car. I like seeing all the clips you use to hold things in place. I need to try that. Please share when you are done. Jim

The cockpit cover is on, with the roll hoop completed and the radiator for that on. Another view Detail shot of the back, shocks are on as well as the wastegate(?). Hard to tell when the best photos you can reference are black and white shots of the car piled into turn 4 Still have to attach the wing, but here's a mock-up. Tires, decals and touch-up left. Scott

Entering the homestretch. I got the spacing and angle about where I wanted at and rigged this up Got the secondary braces on Then the braces that attached the the gearbox(?) housing. Voila! The AoA on the wing might be off a bit, but the race day shots I could scrounge up look pretty close. The new mirrors need to go on and a couple of paint spots re-touched. That and the decals, tires from Michael and the main ones from Gary. If you need a custom set, I cannot recommend Gary highly enough. He does great work and is super to deal with. My last task will be not to screw those up. Scott

Almost there. The mirrors are on, the kit mirrors, mounted atop braces I made with craft pins (they seemed the right size). I put on one last radiator, which you can just make out the top of, on the right side of the gearbox. The tires, decals from Michael. The mirrors in process. The mirrors complete. I'm thinking by week's end, it should be done. Then I can move on to something easier (I don't know what my next build will be, but it's got to be easier). Scott

Wow, this car looks really good. You did a whole lot of great work and detailing on this build. Thanks for sharing the WIP with us, otherwise we wouldn't have know all that went into making the great build. I really like the final result and hope you are proud of it.
