Decided to make the team car to the Action Performance release of a 1999 CART Patrick Racing Reynard 99I Ford Cosworth XD #40 Tecate/Quaker State Adrian Fernandez. Never understood why some cars were produced and some were not, even team cars. As the team used both, Reynard and Swift chassis, I decided to do the Visteon car on Swift donor [Newman Haas Andretti]. That also simplified the conversion process as the donor was already painted black. Removing the factory decals is fairly easy. Also not wanting to disassemble the model, I used only decals for this conversion, including the metallic silver. That worked well except for the driver area near the roll over hoop. Thank you Gary for the decals. link

Sweet! Bet I could get to work fast in that! Loved the machines back then. Looks fast just sitting still. Today's don't look fast to me. (IMO) They look like they just stick.

Thanks guys. It's a work of art when you see it up close. Such flowing lines and the details are amazing.
My favorite feature is the elongated rear edge of the rear brake cooling ducts. They double as extensions the the rear wing endplates. The rules stated a maximum 'boxed' dimension for the endplates but did not mention the brake ducts. :-)
