The driver figure is from either an old Action or Minichamps 1/18th. Thanks to Ralph for providing it to me.
He will be detailed out later.

So what kind of details are you going to give to Ralph?

Yes, The details are painting the helmet design that Revson used in 1971. Kind of a gold scallope design.
I already painted the strips that go down the left side of his cheast on his uniform but the seat belt hides them. Still, they are there! LOL

The solid McLaren orange and the longer nose makes it the best looking of all the Indy McLarens. Gorgeous work Stu!

Finally got the engine cover done for the 73 McLaren and am almost done with the 71. Also made a standing driver figure for the 73 McLaren.   |

Thanks guys. I printed the star on JR's helmet on white decal paper and then placed it on gold decal paper and then cut it out. Hard to see the gold outline in the photos but it's there and looks pretty cool close up.
When I got done with the figure my wife saw it and told me that JR had a nice tushy. Women...
