Here's an obscure Bill J. sheet: Can anyone identify all the cars on this sheet (actually 2 sheets)? Brian

I think I can Herk.....
Most are very easy...The Cummings Diesel is for the Cummings Diesel...The Novi is for the Novi.....most are for Kurtis mid-50's cars....teh Leader Card duro is for Ward's midget......The Bardhal is for Jorgensen's Kuzma upright, lie the 1950 Winner.....
Hope I helped..

Thanks, Russ! I knew most of the "easy" ones! I'm wondering about the #16's and "Springfield Welding" and the #12's, #48's and "Bob Estes Special" in particular. Also, what year Sumar special can you do with this sheet? I just also noticed the red slanted #1's, too? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance, Brian

Hey Brian...
The number 48's are for the 1955 Kurtis built Sumar Streamliner that was cut to pieces to make the race...A really weird car. The 12's are for another Sumar car driven by Pat O Conner. The Springfield Welding car was a red & white KK4000 driven by Art Cross to 2nd Place in 1953....It was number 16. As for the Bob Estes Special...I haven't a clue as to what year that was...He had cars entered throughout th 50's. Hope that answers a few question...I'll call Bob Clindinst..He'll know!
Best to you
Russ

Thanks, Russ! That streamliner would be a cool car to build!

Roger,
Sheet number one is a copy of the old Strombecker midget sheet and sheet number twos a direct ripoff of Etzel Speed Classics Midget sheet......you can only build the Ferrari Kurtis Roadster from sheet one. Too bad really. And when anyone wants to do the 1963 Winner, they'd be a fool to use the sheet with blue numbers. I'll get Indycals wonderful sheet for that car.
Best to you!

It is nothing personal against any members here, but that vendor has a documented history of stealing artwork from others so I'm going to remove a few of the above posts. Everyone knows of him and can choose to support him if they wish but I do not feel right implying support for someone who operates their business in that way.

Jordan I have to say that I find the "stealing artwork" charge rather odd. I am not aware that anyone in the indy modeling field is paying royalites for any of their products, whether they be decals, model kits or accessories. All of these products are copies of someone else's original work. It strikes me that this is more a personal issue as I, in fact, do not "know of" the person being accused. pbh
