I’ve got three of the old AMT kits, but I’ve always been held back by my lack of masking skills. I’d find it very helpful to see a couple photos showing your steps for masking, painting and decaling.

I’ve always been held back by my lack of masking skills. Trust me, its all psychological. All you need to become a good masker, Tamiya masking tape, knowing you can remask an area if you do it wrong, and seal off the masking lines with the color before spraying the new color. |

Paul, for $2 more, Michael at Indycals will include a masking template, very easy to use. I’ve got three of the old AMT kits, but I’ve always been held back by my lack of masking skills. Has anyone considered if this is applicable to Jones’ 1961 rookie car also?!? Yeah, I think about once in a while. I'd like to eventually make it possible to make all the old Calhouns with the first one too, in 1960. |
