Had a great weekend that got off to a great start by being greeted by none-other than Kara Lazier at the airport as I came out to get picked up by Lazier Fan (she was picking up her kids who were on my flight). Eric and I went to the Oldtimer's banquet on Thursday which was incredible. Got to meet Clive Chapman and he even came to the memorabilia show and stopped by my table and Tom and Ed's table. It was very cool to show him the Lotus 25 and 29 that I had with me. Had a great time at the show and got to see several of you there, which is always the best part of the show. Now for the pics: Vince Granatelli, Parnelli Jones and Mario Andretti - they drove all three turbines which are now all properly restored to their original race day configurations (for the most part - a few minor errors and omissions. No, that is not Lance next to Mario. That is Milton Verret who owns the #70 Turbine who in turned hired Classic Team Lotus to restore it. If you saw the pre-race show, you saw these cars on the track at the exact time I took this. I was just out of frame on the broadcast. Mario, Parnelli and Vince Granatelli Three beauties on track together for the first time since 1968 Ryan and Helio battle in the final laps

Great pics Michael! How do you get so close to all the action? Man, I'm so jealous...
Wish I had known when you got in town. I couldn't make it to the show or race, but I would have loved to have gotten together for a bit. Maybe next year. Any chance you'll be in town for the SVRA races?

Great photos. Do you have more? You seem to be in the center of all the action. Do they start without you?

Normally I don't get to catch the live broadcast as I'm always tied up with family activities. Got to see the last 200 miles. Mercy this was a good race!

Cool pics Michael. It was the Paxton turbine that got me interested in racing. But the Lotus 56 had me hooked!

Great photos as always Michael. There are several great references in these and I'm sure more in the complete set.

Michael, are you thinking Camel Yellow for the 2014 winner?

I would think Camel Yellow.
BTW I'm currently revamping my DW12 kit and should have it rubber here shortly - I'm pretty excited with how the updates are going.....I'm trying to engineer it to be a very easy build.
The suspension part are improved The rear bumpers will have there own plug in play system as well as the center section of the rear bumper support. There will be less scratch building. I think I have the mirrors figured out to make them in a whole complete resin assembly.

Camel yellow for part of the 2014 winner. it's not all one color yellow. Wow! I never realized that.......why would I...when you look at it the first thing that comes to mind is one color. Is it just the front wing and side fin that's lighter? (Chrome yellow maybe?)

Wow! I hadn't noticed the two shades of yellow! I guess that's why you're the artist, and I'm the guy saying "Wow, I hadn't noticed that!"
