Like him or hate him the future of F1 could be scary without him. I really believe Burnie is passionate about F1 and wants the best for it.
No I'm not crazy guys I'm just being realistic. Yes I know he's greedy but at the same time he has made a lot of people wealthy around him. Yes I know he's a bit of a jerk but he sure did turn F1 into one heck of an empire of racing series - the most popular in the world.

I think Bernie is serving the role that Big Bill France played in the heyday of Nascar, benevolent dictator. Sadly the era of benevolent dictators has passed. Whoever takes Bernie's place will never achieve what he did. It will take a long period of decline before the Red Bulls, Ferraris and Mercedes allow another supreme leader.

I kind of agree with you, Calvin. A few years ago I would have been cheering. But it's kind of a difficult situation in F1 right now, as the article says. And I have been concerned recently that there doesn't appear anyone waiting in the wings, someone Bernie had been tutoring. No one knows what Bernie knows, and it doesn't appear he has been sharing with anyone.
And Flavio Briatore?? Seriously? Isn't he just barely off of a "lifetime" ban?
