Just a small update.
I'll be casting the rest of the parts here soon, and this kit will be very close to being done! (Thank goodness!)

Calvin, Your work is amazing! I'm not the biggest fan of these cars, but you have done such a wondrous job on this project that I am impressed beyond words. Bloody damn good!

I got most of the parts casted but still some more to do.....I'm not hiding the fact that these are some tricky parts to cast so there will be some clean up work when you get the kit. Since Michael P. is starting a Dario F. retirement tribute WIP build I guess I'll do the same with a.... 2012 #50 Target Honda Dallara winner! This WIP will help me develop the directions and develop the rest of the kit.....

2012 #50 Target Honda Dallara winner WIP Part 1I've done a few things overnight on the 2012 winner....just a few not much.... I've been taking a lot of notes for the instructions....I'm going to take care of you all! They will be very detailed. I'm just going to do some short highlights of whats going on.....this WIP how to is just going to be a small fraction of what the instructions will say.... The theme of this first instalment of this WIP is: Test fit now - clean up and detail later....1. Gluing in the cockpit if first. 2. Gluing on under-tray which is designed to fit right on. 3. Glue on front wing and Sand bottom of the under-tray level 4. I'll admit this next part is a little silly and somewhat dumb but I have no idea any other way besides having P/E parts made or white metal done up. Attaching the mirrors! Using a razor saw or even an x-acto knife scribe a notch for the thin brass sheet that will be CA glued onto the opened up notch. Then fashion the brass with a rounded 90 deg angle upward. Then CA glue on the mirrors which are already notched out underneath. 5.Drill out the front suspension arms and CA glue in the brass rod. Test fit 6. Test fit and Glue on the front hubs... 7. Drill out the rear end for the rear brass axle. More later.........

2013 #11 HYDROXYCUT Chevrolet Dallara winner UpdateJust a little teaser. Michael P. sent me a couple of test graphics for the 2013 Winner. (not the hydroxycut logo - I made that real fast with my ink jet paper just for the heck of it) Michael is working very hard on these graphics - they are one of more challenging designs.

Calvin, like many others I'm not a fan of this car. But having said that I also have to say I admire and respect your ability to bring this project into reality. It looks great! I feel sorry for Michael, he's going to be overwhelmed with decal requests and some of the liveries on these cars are pretty wild. Again, well done on another winner.

Freakin Awesome!!! Since your working with Mike on the decals, have you guys also discussed the tire decal issue too? They were different from 2011 in 2012 and then again in 2013.
Thanks, Mike

But having said that I also have to say I admire and respect your ability to bring this project into reality. Thanks! But this car was way too advance for my talent level when I started....but with that said, everything else looks easy now!....but who knows! LOL I feel sorry for Michael, I dont! Its good practice for him! After he gets done with the hydroxycut decals (I'm being optimistic) .....he'll be able to do anything! and when he gets done with that hydroxycut sheet I expect you guys to buy it! Becuase I need to prove that it was worth while to do them! Besides who dosen't like TK?

Oh BTW I should give an updated on my end of things - no release date yet.....count on the week after X-mas (When you have all your gift money ready! ) Ah, the striking generational difference - for those of us with kids (and grandkids) the week after Christmas is absolutely the "brokest" of the year! I know! You and Lance, Bill, Kevin, Gary and all should sell gift certificates! I mean, we send Amazon postings to family (really hoping for that paint booth!) so why not links to Classic Resins, etc? You know, when I started typing the above, it was as a joke. But now that I think about it, it's a pretty good idea! Maybe too late for Christmas, but for birthday gifts, etc. Except for me, my birthday is Dec. 23. :-( I love it Calvin! I can't afford a lot of resin, but this one, along with Kevin's F5000 Lola are my current must haves! MJ
