Thought this could be a fun way to bring back up your old builds. Today (2/16) is 99 days until the Indy 500 so today anyone who's ever built a #99 car please reply in this thread and post your #99 build today. Tomorrow with be 98 days to the 500 so post your builds here with #98 as the car number. And on and on until Indy.
Any scale and any media are welcome but only open wheels (F1 build and other OW'ers are welcome). Email me if you need help posting pictures. When you post feel free to just post pictures but you can also tell us when you built it, why, who's kit, decals, paint, etc. No disparaging remarks about vendors - no exceptions
Today is #99 so possibilities include but are not limited to Greg Moore's ChampCars, Sam Schmidt's Indy Cars (driver and/or owner), and Lee Wallards 1951 Indy 500 winner.

Number 3 day!I keep on forgetting about this thread! Too bad it didn't take off! I guess I can do #3 with the Gurney MPC Eagle with Tamiya paint and Indycals. I added my own Offy conversion to this.   and Bobby Rahal 86 Winner

I forgot about your 1990 Havoline Lola! Its funny how AMT made one 1989 Lola T8900 kit and then shoved 1990 decals in the kit! LOL But looks like the decals worked great on the 1990 resin body!

Yeah, that remains one of my favorites. Bill's kit worked out great and was a good match for the AMT parts. The kit decals are a little thin, and the white doesn't pop as much as I'd like, but overall it turned out well! |

Nice Builds Patrick! Actually you are many days late as is everyone else, but it really doesn't matter as this thread didn't take off anyway. It was supposed to be a countdown to Indy using car numbers. For example, cars that have #1 would be posted today as its one day to go to the Greatest Spectacle in Racing!  |

Holy Crap! I totally forgot about that car and loved building it. You should see if Lance has a windscreen and mirrors for it so it can get finished!
