Some might think its a joke but some might not, I'd try it just for the heck of it....Its not like your model is a going to have 50 lbs of downforce pushing on it!

If you're doing the RC Tracy I think the Pennsoil wing would be the wrong one. The PT wing doesn't curve down in the center, it curves up like this Franchitti.  |

What I did was invert the Pennzoil wing grinded down the middle and fill in with putty for right shape. But...there's not enough meat left after grinding to withstand any amount of stress so it broke. So I got a thicker piece of metal and will cut and bend it to the shape I need.

You can make the main plane from styrene. It will take a certain amount of bending without breaking. You just have to take it beyond where you want it b/c it will try to return to it's original shape. If I ever make another I think I'll use brass.

I'd forgotten about this too lol. Finally have time to do stuff for my collection and I couldn't be happier! Great work! Those paint lines came out very nicely! I always liked the way Franchitti's blue Kool car looked...but I am a little partial My plan is to do PT's Player's car, Dixie's Coors, Da Matta Havoline, Fernandez Tecate, Jordain Jr. Office Depot, Wilson CDW and probably a Bourdais car. If I find another Lola on ebay I want to do Rahal's Newman/Haas test car. |

This will be a long project since I don't have a lot of experience so I'm going to take it slow since there is A LOT of extra fabrication that goes along with this one!   I have the PT #26 Team Kool Green in 1/18 if you're interested. |

Been a loooonnnggg time since I worked on this beauty. Finally got some work done and it is looking awesome. Got some work to do on the wings then can clear it and put it up on display. Hopefully I can find PT here in town to get it signed!   |
