This is my latest open wheeler, Alex Barron's 1998 Castrol Reynard that competed in the CART series. This was an entry from Dan Gurney's All-American Racers team, hence the eagle on the nose. Barron had a rough season, finishing a best of 12th twice in 19 races. Barron won twice in the IRL. The car is built in the speedway configuration. I painted the car Tamiya white with plain old Testors green and red on the wings. It is a box stock build with kit decals, everything went together quite well and the decals weren't a problem to deal with. I cut the top and bottom eagle decals in half to better conform to the nose of the car. It went on smoothly and it is difficult to tell that I split them in half. All in all, a pretty good build, thanks for looking.

Barron wasn't to blame. That Toyota took four full years to get competitive and this was still year #3. Which had to be embarrassing since Honda figured it out by year #2 where they were winning races and almost won Indy.
Great job on the build - the eagle nose was always a cool motif to me. Should be a cool one to have on the shelf!!
