[glow=red,2,300][/glow]This was published in today's Indianapolis Star. I'm not her fan but compliment her for being so honest about it. "Unfinished Business
Although Danica Patrick is racing full time in NASCAR these days, she still dreams about winning the Indianapolis 500.
"It's the greatest race. It's where I came from. It's what made me who I am, the brand that I am, the girl that I am," Patrick told a National Press Club audience Tuesday. "So I would love to go back and win that. I always really felt like I was going to win the Indy 500. I came close a couple of times. But I would love to have another shot at it."
This weekend, however, she will be competing in her first Daytona 500, which opens the NASCAR season.
"It's like driving a van and driving a Lamborghini," she said of the two types of racing. "And I like driving a van. I chose to drive the van, so please don't take offense to it.""

I love it and think it's funny. I bet she still gets a lot of grief over the van comment though.

Yeah, if I was a van owner I would greatly resent my wheels being compared to those NASCAR sleds

The problem of course is that Indycars were never designed to run on high-bank ovals. This results in the likes of "milk & donuts" being able to run half-way competitively. If that's the way its going to be, then Indycar needs to be more challenging to drive or more "van-like" in Danica's parlance.
