Some of the best racing action photos I've ever seen were from that turn 1 Milwaukee angle. Thanks for posting. -Rick

No wonder I like everything Lance makes - we have the same taste in cars. Can-Am cars with wings. Proud to say I saw 'em race back in the day.
And that Copersucar... cars were way more interesting before the science of aerodynamics was perfected.

The Mormon Meteor LSR car. This car was at IMS in 2009 and even took some laps!

The Blastolene Special is pretty cool, first thing is you can seriously hear it coming, even more so now Jay has added twin Turbos on it! Second its LONG really LONG for a roadster, then its Polished Aluminum skin is beautiful, and last Jay is driving it. He always stops what ever he is driving and says "Hello" to my wife! Aways has a few minutes to talk, at a show I put together at Autobooks in Burbank he came, and was amazed at some of the models on display, He was driving Kathern Hepburns 1927 Bugatti Roadster , he left and came back in a Packard custom.. a genuine nice guy! The Blastolene was built by the Moal Brother in Oregon in case you wondering...COOL!!

Here is one I know Calvin will appreciate...Johnny Rutherford's 1980 Chaparral with a conventional rear wing practicing at Indy. Looks so strange! Anyone know anything about this? Is that a Parnelli wing? Attachments:

Here is another odd one...AJ practicing at Indy '79 or '80 in his back-up Parnelli with the Ford engine straight out of his Coyote! I think this was 1980 and the car was eventually qualified with a Ford Cosworth engine by George"ZIGGY" Snider. Attachments:

Awesome, the worlds fastest indian is a good movie! Would love to go to bonneville salt flats one day, Indy first though . btw reminds me, F1 team BAR took a BAR Honda F1 car to Bonneville, took all the wings off, it went over 400kms/ph a few years back.

This has always been my favorite car from LeMans. If Model Factory Hiro ever made a 1/24th kit, I would buy a handful, but until then, this has been a very long term project for me. Nic
