Hi all, Just joined your band of modellers and was wondering if anyone could help me, the yellow used on the Jordan 197 (the one with the snake design along the nose), was this a standard yellow or a neon/florescent yellow? Doug.

Doug I attended every F1 race at Indy and I don't remember the Jordan cars being DayGlo yellow. I think you can find a matching yellow. Somebody on the board will have the TS code. Take Care Craig

I used the Testors Blue Angels Yellow. It was the closest thing that I find to pure yellow at the time. There might be a Tamiya yellow (T16) that is a better match. I agree with Craig that the color of, at least the Jordan 197, was not DayGlo.

One of the Jordan's was a dayglo - or very near dayglo yellow, but I don't recall which one.

I understand that the Jordan EJ10 was florescent/dayglo/neon yellow, but wasn't sure about the 197. In actual fact it makes it easier to paint that it is not and I like the suggestion of blue angles yellow, this color looks very close to me, so thanks for that Russd, very helpful.
Doug.

I was thinking the '97 would look right with Tamiya Chrome Yellow. They are right, by 2000 they were fully day glo yellow!

Shade of yellow in pictures vary greatly - pure yellow or a little brighter should work fine. Jordan
