How about Jim Robbins Spc., Dayton Steel Wheels Spc., G.C. Murphy Spc., or my favorite sponsor thru those years....Bardahl Tom T.

I see you have one of the best chief mechanics in Jack Beckley!! Wonderful guy, very personable. He and Clint Brawner were two of the most well known. Jack was always gracious to newcomers and made them feel welcome. Did it all, saw it all. He, Clint and Herb Porter were the Chad Knaus and Ray Evernham of the 50s. Everyone knew who they were as much as they knew the drivers.

I agree, Jack was a family friend and real nice guy. I just saw his daughter Linda about 3 weeks ago at my aunt's birthday party.

I finally got this together except for the windscreen. I did find out that it was an Eldon slot body with a short wheelbase! I still don't have a sponsor for this mid-60s effort. Patrick

There was actually a "Patrick Petroleum Special", when Pat Patrick was a sponsor. That might work!

I always thought the Pure Oil firebird was great.

I sometimes put a project on hold until the right parts are available for the car... I finally found a windscreen and mirrors for...this short track (short wheelbased) rear engined racer. Patrick

That's not a bull, that's a longhorn!! LOL Which fits with the driver being from Texas.
Nice work, Patrick. It is good looking build.

That is such a cool build! It just looks right as to what a car of that era should've looked.
I love it!

I vote for Bowes Seal Fast. I think it would fit the car well. MJ

I like the Bowes Seal Fast Special. Now where is that Bowes decal. Thanks guys. This was a fun non-serious project that does, as Redlegs sez, "just looks right as to what a car of that era should've looked."
