Unbelievable! The quality of the build and the way you photographed it make it look like the real thing. Just an outstanding job. Good luck at the show.

Art: WELL DONE!!! It is a beautiful job! I am doing a George Bignotti Ford midget and a Duke Nalon Offy. IMO this is one of the best kits of all time. It is as if they asked modelers "what do you want this kit to have?" The parts are crisp and fit well. The photo-etch is a nice touch and the accuracy is uncanny. If mine turn out half as good as yours, I'll be pleased... Tim

Art,
That is a beautiful model! It is really well done in every respect, just outstanding. I must agree that this is a wonderful kit. I recently completed one and enjoyed every minute of the process.
Thanks so much for sharing.

Very nice, Mike! Is that modeled after a real car? It looks like the big brother is perhaps a nicely modified Monogram PC-1, isn't it?

Well, thanks, Calvin. It means a lot. I'd like to try my hand at a Wildcat someday! Yeah, you'd make it look real. The thing that impresses me most about your building talents is how you are able to make a model look real - thats really hard to do and most of all that kind of talent is unteachable from one person to another.....its all in the eye.

Art,
No the midget is not modeled after a real car - it's modeled after the car I would have owned if I could afford it. Big brother is a Sprint car (1/25th scale) that started life as the old Monogram midget - how's that for irony?

Great job Art! One of the best I've seen.
I really like that you added the upholstery snaps and set the instrument panel at the correct angle.

Great job Art! One of the best I've seen. I really like that you added the upholstery snaps and set the instrument panel at the correct angle. Tom Thanks, Tom. The instructions are misleading as to mounting that dash, but folks familiar with midgets will notice that it should be at an angle. There is another flaw in the kit dash that I didn't notice until I was looking at my own pictures. If you look closely, the guage bodies on the back of the dash don't line up with the faces!

These are gorgeous kits. I just received a couple sets of decals from Greg at vsrnonline and hope to find the time to get cracking at one of these!
First up will be the blue and white Parnelli Jones Downey Ford car.
