Building three 1/24 Lotus 25s and looking for correct size and type of decals. I need two nose, round shape, Lotus team logo decals about 0.055" diameter. Also need the Lotus Team lettering on sides of cockpit about 0.057" tall (2 pair slanted letters and 1 pair straight up letters) with curl stripe at front if possible. Fred Caddy and DEC 458 letters are too tall. Any suggestions or recommendations. Thanks.

I'll do some checking to see what's out there. What are you using to make your 1/24 Loti?

Decals for a Lotus 25, go to Patto's in Australia and look at his Lotus decal section, look for Lotus 33 decals, you'll find what you need there.

Yes, what are you using?! The only 25 kit is the Will's/Southeastern Finecast car. I am looking for a good windscreen for it.

Building some of the old Revell slot car Lotus 25s? As others have suggested, try Pattos' Place: members.optushome.com.au/pattosplace/home.htmlSome people have reservations about him as apparently, he's "borrowed" some art work, but he's the only source for lot of stuff. The decals are intended for slot cars but are of OK qualitfy, but certainly not Cartograf level. Note that he does not use manufacturers' names in this catalog. "Lotus" is "Ltus", "Lola" is "LLa", etc. You may have to get several different sheets to get everything you want, but he does have both the Lotus 25 and 33 decals. You could also try plowing through: www.grandprixmodels.com/That is a very extensive site. The Cady Lotus Indy car sheet has some stuff including a "free" set of "Team Lotus" loges. but they're of the type used on the Lotus 49. I may have some of the nose badges in my stash and would very happily work something out, especailly if you have a spare bottom tail cone for the Revell Lotus 25.

Take some photos so we can see what you are doing to the Revell bodies. The nose of the Revell cars are short.
I'll dig out the Finecast Lotus 25 and take some photos to post. Finecast also makes a 33, but I've never seen one.
Patto does have some good obscure decals and as you said are not Indycals quality.

Patto's has improved his print quality considerably in the last year. Much of the artwork is still a bit shabby but the crispness and colour saturation is greaty improved! I would say the AMT Lotus 29 is probably the best place to start for a 25 since the Finecast kit is virtually unobtanium.

Thanks guys for your responses. I am building Revell and Russkit slot cars detailed like models. Russkit is the best body I believe made except for the ridge build up around the the bottom of the cockpit windshield. Did not notice it till too late after painting and detailing. I am also building the Finecast Lotus 25 and Lotus 33. Their decals are crap. Wrong color orange, no slant or incorrect font and no curl at end of strip forward of front suspension. I'm aware of Patto's. Never bought from him. Seen his photos. Can't tell on size or nose decal included. I guess I'll just have to buy 1/32 and 1/24 scales of Lotus 29, 25 and 33 and hope to get close in height and nose decals. As for the tail cone of the Revell, sorry can't help. Does not come separate. Unable to mold mine for you since it's almost built. Could carve a wooden master and mold it. I'm redoing a master for the windshield on the Lotus 33. I would post pictures but I don't know how yet. Thanks guys!!!

A comparison of the AMT 29 and the Finecast 25 would be helpful for all of us. As I said I've started the 25 and have a 29 that I've modified into a BRP-BRM F1. I'll take some photos side by side for us and post them. I don't have the Russkit (nor ever seen one) so I can't compare it. I like the idea of a styrene body to work with rather than the Finecast metal (which is a pain!!).

Thanks for the pictures Patrick. I think I've figured how to post pictures. It's late. Hope to try it soon. Like sending an attachment or browse for my pictures? I don't know why a comparsion is needed for considering my initial question was about decals. I do appreciate seeing your models. The Finecast 25 is a bear to work on but I think it's worth it. Is that red filler/putty on the Finecast 25 and why was the roll bar hole filled? Did you also cut the body along the sides? Intending to make the top removable? You sure are making a challenge for yourself. I'd love to see the end results. I'm making mine all one piece and hoping to finish model soon along with a Finecast 33 low exhausts. But waiting for the warm weater to paint. Thanks.

Now my Russkit Lotus 25 body. Great but for that bulge/ridge around the cockpit. I think to late to fix at this stage. If filed down would leave a hole. and . Here I have the round Lotus logo/badge on the nose. Kent

I'm trying to put the finshing touches on the body of a Finecast Lotus 33. Does anyone have left over yellow stripes from the Tamiya Lotus 25 kit? The Finecast stripes are terribly orange not yellow. Can one get the decals from Tamiya? Any other suggestions? Willing to pay. Needs to go the length of the body. After I take care of that I can add all the outer parts. Thanks.

Patrick, the windscreen is close to the Olsonite Eagle (but this kit is in 1/25 scale), use the Eagle windscreen as patern to make one for the Mark 25. Cheers. Alex

Patrick, Dave at South Eastern Finecast will provide replacement parts, his customer service is quite good. I have bought tyres and wheels from him in the past and he provided replacement parts FOC for the Auto kits Ferrari shark nose even though I told him I got it one ebay. website www.sefinecast.co.uk/Ordering.htmemail Sales@sefinecast.co.uk Regards, Steve.
